Start Your Journey as a Community Animator!

The Rural Mental Health Project supports rural and remote communities in Alberta to improve mental health and wellbeing by building local teams and taking action together. Community Animators are local leaders who bring people together, spark conversations, and guide projects that create positive change.

We offer free training and support to help Animators gain the skills and tools they need to turn ideas into action. Through this training, you’ll discover how to use your community’s unique strengths to improve mental health for everyone.

Before committing, ensure that you are able to attend ALL of the Training days. Missing more than 15 minutes of any day may compromise you receiving a Certificate of Completion. Please note, that you may be asked to pause training and move to the next cohort in these circumstances.
